PROTECT ACT of 2008

Funding the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC)

Download printable information on the Protect Ack by clicking here.

Thousands of American children are in the hands of over ONE MILLION CHILD PORNOGRAPHERS. These criminals have been identified by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forces (ICACs). The Surviving Parents Coalition joined forces with the National Association to PROTECT Children to lobby for the PROTECT Act. This law gives more resources to the investigation and interdiction of child exploitation cases. Funding ICAC is important because in 30% of pornographer arrests, local child victims are identified and removed from terrible abuse and online exploitation.

WHAT IS YOUR STATE DOING TO CATCH THESE MONSTERS?

THE PROTECT ACT...

  • Increased resources for state and local ICAC Task Forces
  • Incresed funding for structure and protection of the ICAC Data Network
  • Supports advanced technology including new, dedicated Forensic Crime Labs to end backlogs
